Merryl began painting in 1997 at John Ogburn studio in Glebe. She learnt much about painting and philosophy over the nine years from his teaching.
She works out of a studio in George's Heights on Sydney Harbour which she finds exhilarating and conducive to her painting, drawing from the energy of this beautiful place.
